About J. Stewart Moore

J. Stewart Moore has a deep understanding of criminal law and has a track record of getting favorable outcomes for his clients. He fights zealously for each client all while striving to keep his attorney fees reasonable with the understanding that the legal process can be both emotionally and financially draining. Mr. Moore is committed to excellence and expediency when seeking to resolve his clients' legal matters.

J. Stewart Moore is a native of Long Island. He has devoted much of his life and interest to the local community and political affairs. He graduated the State of New York SUNY at Old Westbury with a Bachelor's in Science in Politics and Urban Studies. Mr. Moore attended the University of Tennessee Graduate School of Urban Planning. Mr. Moore holds a Juris Doctorate Degree from the Jacob D. Fuchsburg School of Law at Touro College. He has worked as a legislative assistant to a member of the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington D.C. Mr. Moore has also worked with the Town of Huntington as a Hearing Officer, Special Prosecutor and an Assistant Town Attorney.

 

As passionate and dedicated advocate, Mr. Moore works diligently to provide aggressive representation for his clients. He has worked on many complex matters involving all aspects of criminal defense law, civil litigation and municipal law. Mr. Moore also believes greatly in enhancing opportunities for minorities within his community, as he co-founded "Amistad", the Long Island Black Bar Association. He taught as an adjunct professor in the Department of Politics and Sociology wthin his home community. He served as a member of the National Bar Association, a founding member of the Suffolk County Caucus of Black Democrats, a member of the National Association for the Advancement of Color People and a member of the Huntington Lawyer Club.
